What is in tablet
The active ingredient is orlistat.
How Does It Work
Orlistat is clinically proven to help you lose 50% more weight than dieting alone. It prevents your body from absorbing 25% of the fat from the food you eat.
It works by blocking your body from absorbing about 25% of the fat that you eat. The unabsorbed fat is then passed out of your body through bowel movements.
Side Effects
The most common side effects of Alli are changes to bowel movements (such as loose or frequent stools), and flatulence. Typically these occur in the first few weeks and then subside. They are best managed with a low fat diet.
Alli may impair the absorption of fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K), so we advise taking a multivitamin at bedtime. However, in most people levels remain within the normal range. We advise people to have a diet that is rich in fruit and vegetables and consider the use of a multivitamin supplement. Multivitamin supplements should be taken at least two hours after taking orlistat.
